REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree from College or University; or minimum of three years related sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, pass a background check and become registered through the State of Tennessee Dept. of Commerce and Insurance.

Local full-service CPA firm seeks a degreed accounting professional and CPA with at least 7-10 years’ tax experience who desires to be a partner/principal within 5-6 years.
This firm has a close-knit staff of 15-18 employees and seeks employees who are open to being hands-on team members. This position will handle all types of tax returns (1040, 1120, 1165, etc.).
There is some administrative support but this role will prepare all aspects of the returns. Candidates must be willing to roll up their sleeves to prepare the work.
The mission of the firm is to serve its clients and go above and beyond what is asked. Being a people-person with a down-to-earth attitude is key!
The firm is well established and will not require this person to find new clients. Most clients come as referrals. There is plenty of work so this person needs to be open to working a typical, busy tax season with lucrative bonuses awarded in May and December.

TAX SUPERVISOR/MANAGER

Local full-service CPA firm seeks a degreed accounting professional and CPA with at least 7-10 years’ tax experience who desires to be a partner/principal within 5-6 years.

This firm has a close-knit staff of 15-18 employees and seeks employees who are open to being hands-on team members. This position will handle all types of tax returns (1040, 1120, 1165, etc.).

There is some administrative support but this role will prepare all aspects of the returns. Candidates must be willing to roll up their sleeves to prepare the work.

The mission of the firm is to serve its clients and go above and beyond what is asked. Being a people-person with a down-to-earth attitude is key!

The firm is well established and will not require this person to find new clients. Most clients come as referrals. There is plenty of work so this person needs to be open to working a typical, busy tax season with lucrative bonuses awarded in May and December.

Partners are seeking someone with enough experience who can step in almost day 1 and meet with clients, prepare the returns and file them. There is not another level of review so someone needs to have confidence in their abilities and knowledge to prepare the returns from start to finish and then file them.

PLANT CONTROLLER—East Knoxville Area

Growing Knoxville Manufacturing Company is seeking a degreed Accountant for its newly created Plant Controller role. They seek a minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in plant accounting within a manufacturing setting.

The role will provide financial and operational support to help drive the strategic direction of the plant in order to deliver plant objectives. This person will report to the Operation Controller and provide weekly, monthly, and annual plant level operations reports.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide local guidance and analytics on plant financial performance, including process improvement initiatives
  • Prepare and analyze reporting on plant key performance indicators
  • Review and analyze plant inventory transactions including assisting in evaluation of plant inventory
  • Evaluate and analyze plant transactions ensuring compliance with company accounting procedures and guidelines
  • Reconcile all physical inventories ensuring compliance with accounting guidelines and procedures
  • Provide local support to corporate cost accounting team to implement all new systems and reporting
  • Review and analyze standard cost of all plant products
  • Manage and obtain approval for all requests on capital expenditures

Additional Requirements:

BS/BA in Accounting

5-8 years’ of accounting experience

Manufacturing experience is required

Excellent business partnering, influencing and presentation skills

Strong organizational and communications skills with demonstrated ability to convey ideas to a diverse audience(Finance and Operational Partners)
